Bubbles is currently invite-only. Registration needs an invite code — ask a diver who already uses Bubbles, or contact support@divewithbubbles.com. Opening an invite link on your phone pre-fills the code in the app.
The app imports Garmin FIT files, Suunto Ocean DeviceLog JSON, and UDDF 3.2.1 XML (as exported by Oceanic+, Subsurface and others) — including depth/temperature profiles, GPS tracks and events where the file carries them. You can also log dives manually with the in-app wizard. Re-importing the same file is safe: dives are de-duplicated.
Yes. Your logbook lives on your phone and syncs when you're back online. Changes made offline are queued and pushed automatically; if something repeatedly fails to sync, the app tells you instead of dropping it.
Add a buddy by email or by scanning their QR code in the app. After a shared dive you pick who to share with; your buddy can accept it into their own logbook or keep it in a shared space. Only people you explicitly connect with ever see your dives.
Two ways, both in Settings: Export my data downloads everything as JSON, and Email my logbook sends your complete logbook as a UDDF file — an open format that Subsurface and most desktop logbooks read directly, and that Bubbles itself can re-import.
Settings → Delete account. You'll first be offered an emailed copy of your logbook, then asked for your password. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — details on what is removed and what is briefly retained are on the account & data deletion page.
On our servers at Amazon Web Services and locally on your phone. We don't sell data, don't run ads or third-party analytics, and only the buddies you approve see the dives you share. The full picture is in the privacy policy.
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen — you'll get a reset link by email, valid for one hour.
Check the app's notification permission in your system settings, and in Bubbles under Settings → Notifications that the reminder types you want are on. Reminders respect the quiet hours and timezone you configure.
